I am Ishmael's youngest son. I just listened to "Son of a lesser God." If you are interested in my perspective on my experience of growing up with an old school father in the age of MTV and Nintendo. Please contact me. Thanks

To my mother, an enormous debt of gratitude for care with which she chose my earliest books and for the love and patience spent in reading them with me. RIP.

I've got some great ones here for young children. My Book House(I have no financial interest in any of these links)

amazon.com/My-Book-House-12-Set/dp/9990409455

The Jack Tales If you search for these you can find a lot of them free. There's a whole set of them with "Jack and the Beanstalk" being one of them.

There's a group of stories written for young girls I think it Nancy Stories or something like that. I haven't read but heard they were good. About a girl and how pride and greed and all the sins of nature got her in trouble and how she learned for each to be better. Problem is every think I search for young girl stories, Nancy stories, I keep coming up with perverted stories. Maybe someone knows what I'm talking about and knows the exact name. They might possibly be these.

When I got older LOTS of Sci-Fi. Anything by Pournelle(especially when he edits or combines stories), Larry Niven, Frank Herbert, Scott Card...
