Bloody Knives Around the World With Jeremy Bentham

Anarcho-Tyranny Update.

A blast from the past.

“According to crime statistics from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), knives are consistently used to kill people far more often than rifles are used. And the numbers aren’t even close: five times as many murders were committed with knives than were committed with rifles last year.”

“The FBI statistics show that knives have been used as a murder weapon far more often than rifles — even those evil “assault weapons” we hear so much about — for quite a while. In 2013, knives or other cutting instruments were used to kill 1,490 victims. In contrast, rifles were the cause of death of 285 murder victims. Shotguns were used in 308 murders. In 2009, the ratio was very similar: knives were used in five times as many murders as rifles.”

Yes, it is true! More people in the whole U.S. of A. are killed each year with knives than they are with rifles of any type, including AR15 and look alike AK47 style semi-automatic rifles. Even when one includes the recent mass murders, the number of people killed with rifles each and every year is insignificant compared to the number of people killed with edged weapons, not to mention impact weapons and even with hands and feet. You are much more likely to be stabbed, beaten to death or strangled on the street, in a parking lot or in your own home than you are to be shot to death with any evil-looking, black, plastic-stocked, tactical-style, semi-automatic rifle. Which incidentally is no different in operation than a semi-automatic rifle with a traditional wooden stock. Like the ones Winchester and Remington started marketing over a hundred years ago. Handguns are used in over half of the murders that are committed in America and at the same time over sixty percent of murders committed each and every year in the country involve both a victim and a perpetrator who have criminal records. Thus most handgun murders in particular and most murders in general in America are cases of criminals killing other criminals. And ethnic minority criminals to boot (52% of American murders are committed by 4% of the population: black males aged 17-49; over 90% of their victims are black). Banning any semi-auto rifles is NOT going to stop any of that urban carnage or make our schools safer.

What affect will these calls for willy-nilly gun bans have on our founder. I have it on good authority that for a dindu restitution recovery agent looking James LaFond in the face is akin to ‘looking down the barrel of an AR15’. Which explains why though he walks in the valley of the shadow of death, he fears no dindus.

Knives Kill More People Each Year Than Rifles: Time For Knife Control?

Anarcho-Tyranny Update.

A blast from the past (2014). Examples of rampant knife crime in Canada. Where nothing bad ever happens.

“Knife-related violent crime in Canada has surpassed violent crimes committed using other weapons, including guns, according to Statistics Canada. However, criminologists say proposals to ban certain knives is an impractical crime-fighting measure.”

“What Calgary police chief Rick Hanson called the "worst mass murder" in the city’s history didn’t end at the barrel of a gun. Instead, the 22-year-old suspect identified on Tuesday as Matthew de Grood is accused of entering the kitchen at a house party, taking “a large knife” and using it to fatally stab four men and one woman, all of whom were students in their 20s. The scene was “horrific,” Hanson told reporters.”

German Police Foil "ISIS-Style" Knife Attack On Berlin Half-Marathon

How long will this ‘stop and frisk’ policy endure? How effective will it be?

Initially the London Metro PD will need to prove that it is NOT racially profiling by frisking mostly white people (like the American TSA) , which means that they will be able to get very few knives ‘off the street’ at first. After a while the Bobbies are very likely to discover that it is young (15-50) people of color who are most likely to be in possession of a prohibited knife in public. Now in my experience cops generally do not like to engage in fruitless, pro forma labor anymore than anybody else does. Police officers are also invariably performance rated on how many ‘collars’ (arrests) they make during their work shifts. Thus they are very likely to focus their efforts on situations that will produce results (arrests). At that point it the Left will call attention to the fact that London’s stop and frisk policy is having a ‘disparate’ impact on people of color (Just like NYC’s stop and frisk policy, Surprise!) and will call for its cessation.

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said last week:

Anarcho-Tyranny Update.

“If we make ourselves into sheep the wolves will eat us.”

- Italian Proverb

"In these modern times, many men are wounded for not having weapons or knowledge of their use."

-Achille Marozzo, 1484–1553, Italian Fencing Master, Opera Nova dell'Arte delle Armi (roughly translated as "The New Text on the Art of Arms") 1536

“The best way to take control over a people and control them utterly is to take a little of their freedom at a time, to erode rights by a thousand tiny and almost imperceptible reductions. In this way, the people will not see those rights and freedoms being removed until past the point at which these changes cannot be reversed.”

- Adolf Hitler, 1889-1945, Mein Kampf (‘My Struggle’) 1925

Hoplophobia: a neurosis, characterized by an inordinate and excessive fear of weapons.

Naturally knife control laws are even more difficult to enforce than gun control laws. Knives and other edged tools are unlikely to be completely banned from society (or perhaps only ‘less likely’ is the proper characterization here). Gun control has not been all that successful in the UK for that matter. The only people who are effectively disarmed by weapons control laws are the law-abiding. The criminal class always seems able to get around the law to acquire what they need and want and/or make substitutions for the banned implements. The Left always seems to imagine that if they can succeed in keeping everything sharp and dangerous away from them, then the bad people won’t be able to figure out how to hurt anybody and will stay home at night. That never seems to work though, does it?

Nevertheless Leftist social justice warriors “always double down” on their folly. Therefore we may expect that possibly someday private ownership of common edged tools in the UK will be restricted to those individuals and/or organizations that have a demonstrable occupational need. You will need a permit to be in possession of that cutting tool in your home and that permit will be issued on your convincing the authorities that you have a ‘good reason’ for needing such a dangerous 'weapon’. Just as you need a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to operate a semi-tractor trailer, you will likely need a 'harvester’s license’ to be in possession of a machete. I mean c’mon, no sugar cane or bananas or such are grown in England, so does anyone living there really NEED to own a machete? As it is now nobody in the UK is allowed walk about in public with a Buck knife or Leatherman tool for ‘everyday carry' (EDC) because the government there has judged all folding knives with locking blades to be dangerous weapons. Any public possession of such knives must be directly related to work at hand, otherwise it must be left at home to be in compliance with the law. Presumably carrying the ‘Barlow knife’ (one with a blade of less than 3 inches long), invented in 1670 by Obadiah Barlow of Sheffield England, is still theoretically permitted for EDC in its homeland, since it is a slip-joint pocket knife without a locking blade. How long will that remain true?

People in temporary need of a cutting implements will have to sign them out from the community ’tool room’, where they will be kept locked up when not in use, much like is done today in prisons. It will be the Progressive ‘precautionary principle’ in action: i.e. if it saves one life the reduction in public freedom will be worth it.

Conversely, when the time comes to punish the class enemies the state will likely issue the proles the pitchforks, torches AND machetes with which to do the job.

Here's a good video of how dangerous knives are close quarters, even when the LEO has his weapon drawn and aimed.

Rampant, non-organized knife violence - especially among non-native communities - is downplayed by the media and government, busy orchestrating fake events like the Woolwich beheading to shore up support for anti-terror laws.

It's always about the Cossacks and their murderous rampages. They must be cowed into submission.

Sadiq Khan's partiality towards non-native British is why he got the gig. Whites must be disenfranchised, and who better to use as front-man than a Muslim? If the Brits don't like it, we'll throw them a Syria war to sate their appetite for redress.
