Writing on Overload
Trying to Keep a Writing Brain from Turning to Scrambled Eggs in the Summer of 2015
© 2015 James LaFond
MAY/20/15
At any given time I am writing, correcting or publishing a dozen books at once. Recently, with my commitment to writing a journal of the ongoing crime wave in Baltimore, I have fallen out of sync with some projects, and am posting this checklist as a reminder.
The checklist will follow my information and energy flow. For instance, since I work overnight Monday/Tuesday, Wednesday/Thursday and Friday/Saturday, my Harm City information all comes home with me on those mornings, making Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday the days I post most of that material.
There is also sleep deprivation to consider. I do not sleep on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday, and therefor have no energy for fiction on those days.
My writing week begins on Sunday. Each day is broken into morning and afternoon writing sessions, with some days having only one session.
