Didn’t Obama say he would retaliate against Russia for “hacking the election”? The Russians might take his threat seriously. If Russia goes to war with Turkey the USA is obligated by the NATO charter to come to Turkey’s defense. Remember, it was an assassination, terrorism, international tension and entangling alliances that led to World War I. Not unlike the current situation. Fortunately we have every reason to expect that cooler heads will prevail this time around, given that everyone is aware a war with Russia could go nuclear. That prospect alone scares everyone since no one has yet concocted a sure-fire plan on how to fight a nuclear war without risking devastation of their own homeland when a nuclear armed enemy inevitably retaliates in kind.

Nevertheless, the Left, the neocons and other fellow travelers are desperate to dump Trump. They are NOT acting rationally about their electoral loss. They might have some clever “Tom Clancy” scheme they believe could succeed in deposing Trump without too much risk. The Russians no doubt have read all the Democrat’s mail over the past eight years and know how they think. So if the Russians are acting concerned about a conspiracy in this, it may not be just for show. It’s the Cold Civil War in America between the “Good-whites” and the “Bad-whites” that could lead to a wider shooting war internationally.
