My Informative Soul Brother
Black Pigeon - Welcome the World

I can’t believe that I have the same favorite historical figures as a guy that sounds pretty non-physical. Black Pigeon and I both find Richard Francis Burton is the most interesting man in history. But, I was a fat, little, dreamy, picked-upon boy before I decided to remake myself in the image of Roberto Duran… and became a psychopath.
This is a nice piece of belated introduction, which is the way I like it. Check out Black Pigeon Speaks.
The question, “What was your first fully formed memory?” struck me, as mine is supposed to be impossible. I claimed that my first memory was of a woman bringing my little brother to the screen door of our house in Aberdeen Road and me standing next to our mother and seeing him through the screen. No one believed me until I described the details of the scene to my mother and she was aghast, "Saying, "I never told anyone about that."
This happened when I was 18-months old and you humans aren’t supposed to be able to recollect things from your first two years, which kind of gives my secret away, and reminds me, that it’s about time to start writing Extra Terrestrial Opinions again.

My first memory was where I felt I was in danger. I was in a Quonset hut church that had ceiling tiles with holes in them. Very much like these on the lower right.

I was wondering how those holes got in there and then I looked over by a gas heater and saw some wasp flying around and came to the conclusion that the wasp must have done it. I remember thinking,"I hope they don't sting me full of holes like the ceiling". I don't really remember being really afraid just noting that it was a threat.

I even remember what the wasp looked like and they were really probably only dirt daubers.

I was 2 1/2 when we landed on the Moon. I was able to recall it to my mom, what time of day, what she said to me, what she was wearing. The whole 9 yards.
