© Provided by The Hill Rand Paul assaulted at Kentucky home: police Kentucky State Police have arrested a man accused of assaulting Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) at his home in Bowling Green, the senator's office confirmed on Saturday.
"Senator Paul was blindsided and the victim of an assault," Kelsey Cooper, a spokeswoman for Paul, said in a statement. "The assailant was arrested and it is now a matter for the police. Senator Paul is fine."
The suspect was identified as 59-year-old Rene Boucher of Bowling Green, according to a statement from police. The Warren County Attorney's Office issued a warrant for Boucher's arrest shortly after the assault on Friday.
Police are investigating the assault, according to the statement. Boucher has been charged with 4th degree assault, causing a minor injury.

“The decision on Sergeant Bergdahl is a complete and total disgrace to our Country and to our Military.”

"Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?”
-1 Corinthians 14:8 (NIV)
“A Fort Bragg military judge on Friday sentenced Bergdahl to a dishonorable discharge, fined him $10,000 and reduced his rank to that of private from sergeant, but did not sentence him to any time in prison.“
Being the jingoistic myrmidon that I am, I am naturally as displeased with the outcome of the Bowe Bergdahl court martial as is our Imperious Leader, the God-Emperor Trump. I too think Bergdahl should suffer more serious punishment (years of imprisonment at least) at the hands of the Army. Not just kicking him out of the Service with a bad boy discharge (what real social opprobrium does that hold any more?) What was done to him by the Taliban is irrelevant, merely a consequence of his own foolishness and irrationality (How did he imagine the Taliban were going to treat an infidel like him? These are people who punish their own children by sticking their hands in boiling pots of water.). He still deserves further punishment and, more importantly, everyone needs to see him be made an example of and suffer further consequences for shirking his duty and endangering the lives of his comrades in arms. Doing otherwise is ‘prejudicial to good order and discipline' not to mention ruinous to morale.  If your safety potentially depends on a perfidious and unreliable person like Bergdahl doing what he is supposed to do, and he faces no real punishment if he doesn’t, who will get ready for battle? One thing I have learned for certain in my lifetime is that you get exactly the kind of behavior you put up with. Does the Army leadership want to see more of this sort of behavior? This is no way to run a railroad!
Although while disappointed by the verdict, I am not terribly surprised by it. In his psychological profile Bergdahl predictably comes across as a fool rather than a knave, an archetypal ‘flake’:
“The doctor also provided insights into Bergdahl's way of thinking, saying that while he's intelligent, he is also "naive."  Morgan compared Bergdahl to a child who jumps into things without thinking about the consequences. Bergdahl wants to do the right thing but doesn't always know the right way to go about it, Morgan said. "Once [Bergdahl] gets an idea that makes sense, he wants to do it," Morgan said, adding later that Bergdahl knew walking off of his Army post "would get him in trouble."
He’s just the sort confused soul, ‘struggling with his conscience’, many Americans today (including the military judge as it turns out) would likely feel sorry for and would want to see forgiven and redeemed. Especially if they didn’t suffer personal loss because of his foolishness, eh? Yes Bergdahl is ‘naïve’ all right, naïve to the point of imbecility I must say, given his actions (‘stupid is as stupid does’) and regardless of any of the qualities he may possess that inspired the psychiatrist to suggest he is intelligent. He’s a tool, yet people still feel compelled to come up with complimentary things to say about him, don’t they (even those not being paid to do so)? The ‘niceness’ of flakes like Bergdahl is what really makes them dangerous to their fellows in the perilous environment that is the war zone. I mean if  you suspected him to be malicious you would know enough to stay clear of him as much as possible and place no trust in him to do what he should, wouldn’t you? If you were forced to be near him you’d keep him in front of you where you could watch him. Always. As Von Clausewitz wrote, war is such a dangerous business that the mistakes that come from kindness are the worst ones.
In the final analysis it doesn’t matter. In fact, given that our the country is falling apart and given that nobody in authority, save the God-Emperor Trump himself, seems to be motivated to want to do or say anything at all to prevent it, it’s probably all to the good if the Globalists and their loyal minions and sympathizers in the Deep State continue to mismanage, demoralize and emasculate the U.S. Military with acts like this. That way when the Globalists finally try to turn the Military on the American people it will be useless to them.

A DEADLY outbreak of a rare and highly fatal virus has broken out in eastern Uganda and five cases have already been identified, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has confirmed.
The disease, known as Marburg virus disease (MVD), is similar to Ebola and can be lethal in up to 90 per cent of cases.
Emergency screening has begun at the Kenya-Uganda border in Turkana after three members of the same family died of the disease in Uganda.
The outbreak is thought to have started in September when a man in his 30s, who worked as a game hunter and lived near a cave with a heavy presence of bats, was admitted to a local health centre with a high fever, vomiting and diarrhoea.
He did not respond to antimalarial treatment and his condition rapidly deteriorated.

He was quickly taken to another hospital in the neighbouring district, but died shortly after arriving.
His sister, in her 50s, died shortly afterwards and a third victim passed away in the treatment unit of a local health centre.
The WHO website reads: “Marburg virus disease is a rare disease with a high mortality rate for which there is no specific treatment.
“The virus is transmitted by direct contact with the blood, body fluids and tissues of infected persons or wild animals (e.g. monkeys and fruit bats).”
DAILY EXPRESS
Black Death: The plague is an incredibly infectious bacterial disease
Several hundred people are believed to have been exposed to the virus, which is among the most virulent pathogens known to infect humans.
Early symptoms include fever, chills, headache, and myalgia.
The news comes as Madagascar faces a deadly outbreak of plague, which has already claimed the lives of 127 people.
Cases of the plague have soared in recent days and extra funding has been released by the World Bank to provide additional resources in the face of the “worst outbreak for 50 years”.
The outbreak has been compared with the Black Death, when plague swept across Europe and Asia in the 13th century, killing more than 50 million people in what is now considered one of the worst pandemics in human history.
Two thirds of the recorded cases in Madagascar are caused by the pneumonic plague, which can be spread through coughs and sneezes and without treatment, can kill within 24 hours.
The outbreak has prompted warnings that it could spread to nine nearby countries, including UK holiday hotspots Mauritius and the Seychelles.
