They think that gives them the right, regardless of our laws, to enter the U.S.”

President Trump has done it again: responding to a situation by acting and moving the agenda in a new direction. The caravan of illegal aliens marching through Mexico so angered the president that he decided to put the National Guard on the border. Mexico’s elite is not happy, but they’ve overplayed their hand and Trump has called it. Nevertheless, their hostility to U.S. sovereignty is implacable—and popular. There can be no compromise if America is to survive.

As a National Guard veteran myself, I think deploying to the border is a great idea. It doesn’t even have to be that expensive. Plenty of funds are spent on the National Guard already—on monthly drills, two-week annual training, even frequent activations in which Guard units are deployed to the Middle East (as I was) for months on end. Why not transfer some of those funds to a program that rotates Guardsmen to and from border duty?

Indeed it’s good to hear that the ‘DACA kids will able to return to Mexico. I’m sure they will be much happier there. Mexico has a rich, vibrant and egalitarian culture after all.
