My worst course this semester, my worst course ever, was Disability and Moralhood.
No, not Disability and Morality, the first time it has ever been taught, a groundbreaking course on how people in society “feel” about disabled people and how that makes disabled people feel. The professor was the same one I had for philosophy and she could not understand why I wasn’t as engaged with this course, and she asked me, so I told her I don’t like the subject and the people in the class are downright irritating. I can’t say anything without them dismissing my viewpoint by saying, “You wouldn’t understand because you’re just a typical white business girl.”
There are only 11 people in the class and there is this clique of five who protest against the school every weekend for not admitting everyone to the university, even though they let these women in half-dressed with pink hair. They picked on me for wearing business attire—I’m coming straight from work. Hello, I have a job. My parents aren’t rich, I have to work for a living.
We had to spend one entire class discussing how men should not be allowed to dictate how women dress and how they don’t want to be gawked at by men, but honestly, I can’t see any of them looking good enough for men to gawk at, no matter how they dressed.
Most classes the teacher will run from 6:00 to 8:00 or maybe 8:15, but this course was 6:00 to 9:00 every night, with these petty women dressed like militant freaks pretending that men want to look at them and how this is the worst thing in the world, as if attraction between the sexes does not have a place in human society. I spent many eternities wanting to have pins stuck in my eyes rather than participate in that class. I would have taken a C just to be done with it but managed to pull down a B. The coursework was super easy. It was just tolerating the content that was the hard part.
These women aren’t even going for degrees that will get them a job. I am actually working on my business degree. These people want to get their philosophy degree and either protest fulltime or travel around the world vloging—it seems like all these millennials want to do is complain and vlog.
The one woman is just unbelievable.
[Nikki shudders visibly with a look of distant disgust on her pretty little face.]
She’s over 300 pounds and wears short skirts and mid-drifts with her big fat belly hanging out, talking about how it’s her body and she can show it if she wants. She has tufts of hair spilling out under her arms and her legs are hairier than yours. She must be on hormone therapy or something. I have never seen a woman that hairy. She says she doesn’t want any attention but she’s screaming for it—Princess Beastly.

I went to a men-only school mainly to avoid exactly that kind of thing .... !
Make sure that degree is going to be worth the mental strain that you'll have to go through in a modern university. It's gotten horrible.
“In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is...in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.”
Theodore Dalrymple (Anthony Daniels).
There is no such word as "moralhood" in the English language.
So they're just basically making this shit up as they go.
bob, very interesting quote. I think its spot on. Its all about control really. Capitalism uses our greed and lust, communism uses humiliation.
