It’s always great fun to see Leftist celebrities run afoul of the political correctness (PC) minefield that was laid to destroy the careers of Conservative celebs. Samuel L. Jackson miscalculated his position in the current Leftist PC pecking order. Hey Sam, African-Americans are no longer the premier oppressed identity group in the Left’s pantheon. LGBTQ needs and sensibilities now take precedence over blackness. Blacks cannot be racist according to the Left’s reckoning, but apparently they can be accused of being homophobic. Surprise! Surprise! Now take your punishment Sam.

What is illustrative is that when these Leftist celebrities want to level a particularly vituperous insult against a Right Winger they typically go straight for ‘gay shaming’, for the ‘homophobic slur’. Suggesting that their target is gay and/or engaging in homosexual acts. Why is that? Is there something wrong with being gay or having gay sex? Could it be that these Lefties don’t really believe that homosexuality is normal and admirable, in spite of their public expressions of support for ‘gay rights’? It is clear by their choice of words that they actually regard it to be perverse and disgusting. Something to be ashamed of.

Not surprising. Not really. The Left is nothing if not two-faced and hypocritical in the most fundamental sense of the word. Meaning that they will publicly espouse support for ideals, values and behaviors that they do not believe in or practice themselves.

The thing is that now gays are no longer satisfied with being merely tolerated. Now they want to be loved and admired. They demand it! So the members of other heretofore catered to oppressed identity groups better watch what they say from now on.

Interesting. Even though the average, everyday Christian tends to be, as Nietzsche opined, a ‘spiritual imbecile’, someone who often acts like he doesn’t believe anything his religion teaches, people still place greater trust in someone who putatively believes he will face eternal punishment in the afterlife for having lead a bad life, than they do someone who doesn’t believe in an afterlife at all. Interesting discussion. Not that the Left will admit it of course. But on the flip side the Left does not shy from resorting to ‘Jesus ’splaining’ why Christians ought to be gullible door mats and accept Leftist efforts to disenfranchise, dispossess and impoverish them by flooding their country with migrants and so-called ‘refugees’ in the name of ‘Christian charity’.

Yeah we take the idea of Christian charity and forgiveness for granted in our secularized society. If Christianity goes away it is unlikely to make for a kinder, gentler world, but on the upside nobody will be peaching at us that we need to be nice to people who piss us off. If they do it will fall on deaf ears.

Interesting. Two different points of view about the lessons to be learned from watching YouTube videos of actual fights.

The counter-commenter brings ups a valid point: the best way to learn to fight is to fight. This is true both for individuals and military forces.

‘Peacetime training’ can give one a false impression of how any enemy might react in a go as you please fight with no instructors or referees to impose rules or limitations on the combatants.

Of course nowadays picking fights just to see if what you learned in the dojo et al really works will get you in trouble with the law, as well as sued. Even the street thugs have learned how to use ‘lawfare’ to score a big payday. It’s amazing how some of these guys can morph from ‘barney badass’ tough street fighter to innocent victim just minding his own business once the cops appear.

As far as gunfighting goes, participating in combat shooting matches provides valuable inoculation against panic and stress in a real gunfight. The stress of performing in front of others during combat shooting competition actually approaches the stress implicit in a gun battle. That is because we human beings are nearly as afraid of looking stupid in front of other people as we are of getting killed.

Oh, and the suspect acquired his pump shotgun legally. Apparently in spite of his years of harassment of the newspaper’s employees the perpetrator had no felony convictions on his record and was never adjudicated as having been mentally ill by court of law and so was not prohibited from purchasing and/or possessing a shotgun. Recent studies indicate that about 70% of such spree killers do acquire their weapons legally and often will have them for years before planning any attack. So the next person contemplating a similar mass murder has probably already got his guns. Don’t fret though because statistically your chances of getting struck by lightening far exceed your chances of being killed or wounded in a spree killing.

It isn’t likely that shotguns will be outlawed any time soon. They are among the most unrestricted of any firearm anywhere because they have a prosaic ‘sporting purpose’. Thus the humble shotgun will be the last to be outlawed. Even in Maryland no permit is required to purchase a shotgun and no back ground check is required. Although federal law requires an instant background to be conducted for ALL firearms purchased from a federally licensed dealer (which ALL gun dealers must be) through the Nation Instant Criminal background System (NICS) of the FBI.

This just confirms that you don’t need elite or exotic ‘military style' hardware to murder unarmed victims cowering like rabbits underneath their desks. Plus an ordinary shotgun is a very deadly weapon close in. With a 12 gauge shotgun you have what amounts to an ounce of lead leaving the muzzle of the gun at about 950 mph and at very close range even a light pellet load such as birdshot will strike the target as a single clump. This combination will produce a wound that looks like a rat chewed a bloody hole in the victim.

This also confirms that crazy people are dangerous. Don’t let anybody tell you different. Yeah most mentally ill people don’t do anything wrong; HOWEVER, if you have become the object of a crazy person’s paranoia, watch out! They will not be dissuaded or deterred, so long as they are allowed to run free. As I’ve said before, the biggest stigma associated with the mentally ill is that they typically will not seek treatment for their condition. They all too often must be compelled by force of law to get help AND to keep taking any anti-psychotic medication they have been prescribed to keep from going crazy again.

Looks like white people are being exhorted to adopt the ‘no snitching’ ethos. But only to extend such deference to members of the oppressed race of course. If you’re a ‘badwhite’ and you transgress these same student activists are all too likely to rat you out. In a New York minute.

I guess what is inspiring this movement is the alleged epidemic of white people calling the police on innocent black people ‘FOR NO REASON AT ALL”. And of course every time blacks interact with the police they are all too likely to be beaten up, choked out, pepper-sprayed, Tazered or even shot. And then hauled off to jail if they are fortunate enough to survive the encounter. The police just don’t seem to know how to handle black people any other way. The cops are just hammers and all black people look like nails to them.

The bottom line here is that it is simply racist to expect black people to abide by white people’s laws. You cannot expect blacks to scrupulously obey the rules any more than you can expect migratory waterfowl to respect international borders. So quit calling the cops about every little thing you see black people doing wrong, you white folks. You’ll rest easier at night knowing you weren’t responsible for some forlorn African-American youth getting incarcerated or even killed over some petty infraction.

Coincidently enough, the viewpoint of these student activists is more in conformity with those of us in the 'LaFondiverse’ than they might have imagined possible. After all, many of us reading this blog would also much prefer to handle law breakers on our own, without involving the police. The police in many jurisdictions have become worse than useless, either they don’t respond at all to reports of robbery and theft or when they do response to your call they arrest YOU for defending yourself. The police have become the promoters and enforcers of the current nation-wide regime of Anarcho-Tyranny that endangers our safety and security.

No party for old white men. The old white anglophone socialists in the Democrat Party outsmarted themselves . They supported the importation of millions of migrants from the Third world planning to use them to help them take over America. Use the ‘brown’ people to turn all of America ‘blue’ as it were. However, now to their dismay they find those same brown people are pushing them aside and taking over the party. Like they say, no news is good news. So conversely most of the reports in news are going to be about bad things happening. Yeah, the world is going to hell and that can be scary. For me paying attention to national and international news is important intelligence gathering. Just common sense self-interest and self-protection. Just living your life in 'Condition Yellow’ and maintaining situational awareness of the world around you. Like they say, it’s the punch you don’t see coming that knocks you out.

However, I understand that people vary greatly in their ability to handle stress. Some can handle a lot of stress without ill effect (thrive on action and adventure even) and some can’t handle much of any stress without freaking out. So if news about bad things happening to strangers in distant places bothers you that much, don’t pay attention to it! We’ll keep watch for you. Don’t worry, be happy!
