6:15 AM: Cup of sour cream, ½ cup berries
7:00 AM – 12:51 PM: Ascended Hoyt’s Peak, made it half way and turned back with 1 of 4 bottles of water left, took 3 10 minute breaks to eat berries [total 1 cup] and hydrate
1:00-2:36 PM: descended Hoyts to the road, finished water
2:36-4:40 PM: walked home on the farm roads of the valley paralleling the mountain to check my bearings taken above, was severely dehydrated [from the high winds on top of the ridge back, I think] and stopped at a friend’s house to drink 3 glasses of water around 3:30
5:00 PM: 6 ounces roast beef fried in bacon grease, with raw broccoli, cauliflower, pickles, cucumber, radishes, with 3 ounces cheese, avocado oil, probiotic vinegar, nutritional yeast
That was the hardest walk I ever did, going from about 6,400 feet to about 8,400.
I’ll take more water on the next attempt.
