The real money in mercenary work is in being a white collar mercenary. That is to say a trainer, technician or logistician. The client countries usually have plenty of native born trigger pullers, but are greatly in need of trainers to teach their troops how to fight, maintain their equipment and manage their supplies efficiently.
FYI: the Treaty between India and China mandates that patrols on the Himalayan border must not carry firearms. Apparently an attempt to prevent a border war, such as India has had with Pakistan over the similarly mountainous Kashmir border intermittently for some years now. Regardless of that precaution border clashes between the Indian and Chinese forces have happened anyway and have taken on a distinctly medieval character. Enjoy!

China’s army has recruited 20 mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters from a notorious “orphan fight club” to join its border militia in Chinese-occupied Tibet, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on Saturday, citing Chinese state media reports.
The move comes shortly after deadly hand-to-hand combat broke out between Indian and Chinese border troops in the western Himalayas on June 15.
At least 20 MMA fighters from the Enbo Fight Club in China’s southwestern Sichuan province will form the new Plateau Resistance Tibetan Mastiffs, to be stationed in Lhasa, the capital of Chinese-occupied Tibet, Chinese state broadcaster CCTV reported on June 20, according to the report.
Known for producing fighters who have gone on to compete in highly competitive international tournaments, such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the U.S., Enbo Fight Club is also infamous as a Chinese “orphan fight club” where desperate children as young as 12-years-old are reportedly forced to fight and are exploited...
