My friend Mescaline Franklin was on the street apparently videoing a local Orang-Out.
I would point out that all of the directions for properly using a bat as a weapon are to be found in my 2016-17 books: Twerps, Goons and Meatshields and in Being a Bad Man in a Worse World and also in The Combat Space, available as a PDF at our online book store on this site.
In short, if you can't use it with one hand, the bat is a lousy weapon except for execution, punishment and torture of a helpless victim. The weight is not a problem as the weight is in the head and facilitates rotation back up to guard after a missed stroke.
I recall this street looking familiar from my 2017 visit to Flushing Queens.
