Today, as I tried to write and my eye blew-up again and I remembered that my editor had told me to take the day off, there was a knock on my host's door. It was a visitor, a long-time reader who happened to live near by...a man bearing gifts for a weirdo of strange wits.
The man was a good deal older than I had predicted and he held out two items:
-A huge, Catholic Study Bible of some 600 pages,
-A 750ML bottle of Bushmills Irish Whiskey, first distilled in County Antrim, Ireland in 1608.
He then told me that he listened to Crackpot podcasts with his elderly Uncle, who called me Baltimore Jimmy.
Thank you, Sir.
That was so kind.
Be well.
Tis marvelous to be appreciated by the Irish!
