Bryan Ott’s Combatography YouTube channel is a searing collection of largely British made combat documentaries that tells the same story that one might think would have been learned in Vietnam; that holding a combative nation under the thumb of a helicopter borne collection of sporadically supported forces of the light and/or small variety does not produce a lot of happy endings.
The link below concerns the fate of a screwed over British command of 1200 men tasked with subjegating a land the size of their home nation against a lovely collection of enemies ranging from CIA supplied opium gangsters, to the Taliban, who only an idiot regards lightly. The ordeal of these working class Brits at the distant and inept hands of their masters, and the proximate and expert hands of their enemies, is in keeping with the centuries old tradition of elite British troops up to their ears in enemies while their soft-headed masters enjoy their unearned tea back in Perfidious Albion.
If you think your life sucks, watch this, and be sure to check out Bryan’s channel. His link is on our network page.
