I have been searching this man on YouTube since I heard he gave a speech about Robert E. Howard which offered interpretations similar to my own as expressed in reviews of Conan Stories.
It is a shame this man passed away so young, for this small venue interview is an invigorating breath of stale air that has remained taboo to breathe for so long that it offers a primal freshness.
Not only does Bowden charmingly belong in a film adaptation of a Dickens novel, in this interview he gives a more concise explanation of religion, ideology and political correctness than I have heard.
Make no mistake that in today’s society Bowden is unpalatably to the right. However, in most other ages he would be equally reviled, not for being so far off to one side, but for being so centrist and inclusive. This statement will surely offend his right wing admirers. However, his view of religion would define his position in the eyes of most of earth’s previous societies, and he is far from radical there.
