‘I Have Awakened’
Breaking Bad: The First Episode

This weekend I was hanging out with my son while his lady watched a TV show about a rich girl who became famous for doing porn, and her family who became famous for being dysfunctionally related to her perfectly curved ass, and their family who became famous for being rich, for being related to dysfunctional people, related to a beautiful whore…
After the lady of the house was off on her way I asked my son what he watched on TV and he said, “I think you’ll like Walter.”
I know I’m way behind the curve here, and you all have probably seen this series in all its 5 seasons. If you have not here is the summary:
Walter is a high school science teacher who works part time at a Pakistani car wash to support his pregnant bitch of a 39 year old emasculating wife and their handicapped teenage son. Walter is 50, his brother in law is a DEA jerk cop, and on top of all that, he finds out he has terminal cancer. Thanks to a ride along with his dickhead brother in law he decided to go into the meth cooking business.
I looked at my son half way into the episode and said, “This is brilliantly written, and must be popular, because Walter is every responsible 50 year old guy I know; emasculated by the culture, run over by the economy, and invalidated by his wife. I would be Walter before I was my boss any day of the week—and I know what I’m talking about, because I was my boss—this is great!”
Walter, the meth-cooking science teacher and doomed husband, is an angst ridden symbol of the defiance most men in this sick nutless world would like to express, if only they could remember where their old lady put their balls after America cut them off and handed them to her on a plastic plate.
