‘Conveniently Erased’
The Necessity of Anti-Colonialism by Eugène Montsalvat
© 2015 James LaFond
FEB/10/15
It’s about time someone wrote this opinion. Eugene makes an excellent case that racial pride is used to facilitate naked amoral greed. I have been fairly obsessed with reading about exploration and colonization since I was a little boy and read the Little Golden Books The Men Who Sailed the Seas at least three times a year. Although I have never managed to put together the pieces that Mister Montsalvat has assembled in this article, I cannot recall anything I’ve read from DeGama and Columbus to Little Bighorn and Rourke’s Drift that runs counter to the argument he puts forward.
