In the Thursday, August 27 issue of the Baltimore Sun, buried on the second page, is a piece of real reporting, in which the journalists got to cops on the scene and witnesses rather than consume what was being handed out by police supervisors.
On Tuesday evening, at about 6:00 p.m., on Washington Blvd., in Southwest Baltimore—which has seen a few pro fighters killed in street altercations in the past decade—there was a race-based gang fight. Outside of a liquor store that is open from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week, there was a group fight, which was witnessed and broken up by patrolling police officers. A group of black teens were having it out with a mixed group of white and Latino teens. The black boys had a 33 year old whore armed with a knife on their side. She stabbed 4 enemy, nearly killing one, who she stabbed near the heart. He is still in critical condition.
Even after the police broke up the fight the racial tensions continued being expressed through slurs. Getting to the officers before the higher ups could edit out the racial aspect of the altercation the babe reporters actually did some good work, even though they stuck with the teen-child narrative.
Interestingly enough, where a man who stabbed someone in the chest would draw an attempted murder or assault with a deadly weapon charge, this woman is being charged with lesser offenses.
There has been a largely unreported epidemic of knife violence in Baltimore and the surrounding county over the past year, with one EMT telling me that 1-3 stabbings a week occur in his area alone. He asked me not to name the subdivision for fear of losing his job for reporting violence that will ultimately be scrubbed from statistics.
This happened eight days before what the Bimbo Mayor and her boot-lickers are expecting to be another round of riots in response to the initial Freddie Gray hearings.
