It is looking like Sunday is going to be my regular slot for posts at SimgleDudeTravel.com. Below is the link to the latest. Manuel is also considering adding a Wednesday post, so check out his site, and also find out how to pick up Chinese Chicks in Hong Kong.
I always thought backhands were an extremely bad idea unless you were wearing gloves and were really good at them. the minute your opponent steps in a bit you're going to misjudge the distance and break your arm in half over his head. I saw a kid do this in the pit at a metal show once. His arm below the elbow was swinging limply afterward.
Good points and gruesome story!
I have never used an unarmed back hand for anything other then a stiff arm sweep. However, I have been KO'd by two lateral outward hammer fists, so have a lot of respect for the strike. My elbows are so shot I'd break my arm missing!
I would only recommend it if you train FMA or karate, and then only when you can set it up, or, if you don't have anything going for youno trainingand you happen to be a tennis player with a good back hand in a backhand position. When discussing combat with people who have not fought or trained, in case they get attacked tomorrow, I like to suggest using something they have, even if it is iffy.
