Tony Blauer is one of the three most prominent reality-based combatives guys out there. Since the late 80s he was a mainstay in Balk Belt magazine, who published seven of my articles on stabbing and beating people in Baltimore, so have an appetite for reality that Tony filled nicely on the “what to do end” as opposed to my “what they do to you” approach. He is a self-defense innovator of empty hand survival doctrine and methods who scrapped the entire martial arts mess and ended up building a real system instead of milking the artistic end of the spectrum.
