Sizing Up Fighters
The Single Dude’s Guide to Survival, Volume 7
© 2015 James LaFond
NOV/2/15
Manuel at SingleDudeTravel.com has been editing my survival guide for his site at a good pace, and keeping a regular Sunday posting schedule for the series. In the latest installment at the link below I cover how to determine the probable physical abilities of a man you do not know, at a glance.
After you read the guide start using the checklist on fighters, particularly MMA fighters when they walk in. All of these types will score high, but few of them will be perfect specimens. In street encounters a quick read can help assess were his strengths and weaknesses are. This is not a complete method, as the all important psychology is left out. However, if he is untrained—which he probably is—he will tend to engage in physical violence according to his body type.
The next issue will cover psychology.

Excellent article Mr LaFond.Although sizing up is a crucial skill in self defence (and of course in match fighting),there is no such information in the existing written publications (self defence, streetfighting, martial arts). The only information on the subject is contained in your books.Much appreciated.
