How Do I Get an E-Book?
Adobe PDF E-Books and other Types of E-Books from the Author

A number of readers have asked me for e-books, and are understandably nonplused over my refusal to get published on Kindle. Here is the deal.
Aside from The Logic of Steel, The Fighting Edge and The Logic of Force, I will not have Kindle books. However, we have two other sources for e-books. The first is via the link below, to our E-store, where we have 26 titles.
The other option is to look up a print book that you would like to purchase as an Adobe PDF, which is how I set all of my books via the POD platform.
Make a donation, of an amount that the title is worth to you as a PDF, to the site via this link:
E-mail me at jameslafond dot-com at gmail dot-com and let me know what title you intended the payment for and I will e-mail the PDF to you as an attachment.

1. The decision to not offer "Kindle books" as you call them is a solid one. Because they won't stand the test of time. PDF is the most cross-platform format, which is why we use it. Some of your readers simply can't read an eBook unless their Amazon tablet spoon-feeds it to them.

2. Offering to slip someone Amazon's pdf of your print book, is probably a violation of Amazon's Terms Of Service and could get you banned as an author from their site. I would actually remove this article immediately.

3. That donation link is broken anyway.

People are spoiled, to not say lazy, take The Martian novel by Andy Weir as an illustration, it was originally posted for free on his web page, where you could also download the free .epub and .mobi versions. But he was still receiving email saying, “Oh hey, I love that there’s an e-reader version, but I’m not very technically savvy. I don’t know how to download things from the Internet and put then on my e-reader. Can you just put it up on Kindle where I can get it?”

He did that, after one month, more people bought the e-book on Amazon than ever downloaded it for free, imagine that!

"More people paid the buck than got it for free because people just really hate technical hurdles. They’re happily willing to pay a dollar to avoid them." Or five...

He also said that it was very easy to put on on the Kindle, through KDP, Kindle Direct Publishing, you set the price, set what you want your royalty to be, and that's apparently it.

While we're at it, here is a good interview with him:
