‘Crawford vs Lundy’
The Impending Death of Boxing by Oliver Hayes

As the marketing of MMA advances to NFL and WWE levels of hype, sapping viewers, and talent from boxing—which was in serious trouble as a major sport when this author was lacing on the gloves for the first time—top boxers and boxing promoters continue to undermine their sport. It seems to me that boxing is now a one-athlete sport, with the best paid athlete in the world sitting at the top playing it safe, and the rest of the fading fraternity following along.
In his latest boxing article, Oliver addresses the subject by way of discussing why a fighter should get some of his record padded.
