The Kindle Swindle

Various readers have encouraged me to publish Kindle e-books. I do have an agreement with my webmaster that he has the e-book rights to my content. However, our e-book sales on the fiction he has put up for sale is so dismal that we will not be doing anymore fiction in e-format. Oliver informed me that Amazon will do a sales push on request every 90 days and I began to consider trying it. Then Deuce sent me the link to this article and I wax skeptical again:
After reading this, I think that following an experimental course might at least be educational. I have a few fiction books that have not sold a single copy in print. I shall make some of these available on Kindle and see what happens, as I’m comfortable with the best-, mid- and worst-case scenarios.

Wasn't trying to talk you out of it, necessarily. Just wanted you to know the lie of the ground. Hard to win if you don't know the rules.

The funny thing is, I'm too stupid to use it—just tried. I'll have my son and niece do the kindle uploads. It is interesting that their are less hoops to jump through for the print books. I'm one of those guys that needs a 13-year-old to help him set up an e-mail account.

Thanks so much for the heads up, Deuce.
