My opinion on the subject is:
Lives do not matter, only what you do with them.
If you live your own in a state of accomplishment, that matters.
If you take a life, that matters also, in its own way.
In my aboriginal post-industrial mind, taking up space does not matter, no matter what color you are.
I'm convinced the whole postwar conservative movement was a leftist safety valve against nationalism. Buckley struck me as repulsive when I would see him as a wee lad.
