I hope you're doing well.
I had to let you know of my recent combat glory. I entered into my first jiu-jitsu tournament 2 weeks ago and I placed 1st in the no-gi 180-190 lb. division. I only had two matches because the tourney was small, but I still beat both opponents who were of a higher rank than myself. I defeated my first opponent by submission ("Americana") and I defeated the second opponent with a solid double leg takedown in the sudden death round.
I'm inching ever closer to jumping in the cage and showcasing my skills. Despite the circumstances (graduate school), I try to move closer to my goal everyday. I'm hungry for conquest bro!
My coach told me the other day that once my technical skills line up with my already developed aggressiveness, then I will be somebody to reckon with. I really can't wait to get in there.
I'm enjoying the articles as usual and I have been keeping the facebook page update better than before.
