If Bone Tomahawk had not been a low budget movie we would have had to sit through nearly an hour of Native American edification, African American heroics, and feminist superiority. As it stands, we get 30 seconds of a turn-of-the-century Native American scholar yapping about tribal dignity to an admitted Indian killer, one hot bitch-wife complaining about how men ruin everything while they are in the process of saving her from amputee rape, and the unsavory fact that black people taste funny to Indian cave men.
Bone Tomahawk slides under the PC radar thanks to its low budget and horror theme and entertains like a better-done, Old West version, of The Hills Have Eyes. This might be the Man Movie of the Year.
Check it out.
Hey Shayne, didnt we run into this tribe around Lone Tree Wyoming, when we were fishing?
Could have been them or a relative tribe. They looked a little on the cannibalistic and witch doctorish side of people. I'll bet they can get mean in a hurry.
