There are more boxing skills than any fighter can master.
There are more basic boxing skill options than a fighter can master before entering competition and still be young enough to achieve at the elite level before retirement.
This book is a menu and I don’t expect you to use all of it any more than I’d expect you to eat everything at the buffet.
To remember the following is more important than the specific skills described in this book:
-Boxing is the imposition of will upon a willful and dangerous being.
-Success in boxing requires poise in the face of physical and mental punishment, the attainment of which must be accomplished in a relaxed and aware state of being.
-The physical art of boxing cannot be mastered without a functional understanding of the jab. More importantly, the boxer who is not unusually gifted will achieve little without the cultivation of this fundamental tool of the boxer’s craft.
