“Your analysis? I think the bear was initially hesitant to really put the hurt on him, and even at the end just smacked him enough to calm him down.”
Sincerely,
B.
Thanks, B, for this link. Recently, when asked what I would do if I won a lotto jackpot I mentioned fighting a bison with a spear and a leopard with the bison femur. Notice that bears, lions, tigers, hippos or elephants did not make my list.
As for this “fight," it’s a shame the bear was muzzled, but we can’t ask for everything.”
The bear and the opponent knew each other, and the man was not even a skilled boxer, but played “patty cake.” The only human “punches” thrown were straight slapping lefts and rights from a squared stance, just like the bear would have to stand in, so that the bear could imitate the antics of the human and do his tricks on cue when the human slapped his muzzle. Both actors were acting when they went down. This was essentially pro wrestling and does demonstrate that WWE superstars must be at least as intelligent as a juvenile brown bear.
It is interesting that Mike Tyson fighting big hairy guy who could not box a lick came up on this feed.
