This video is a classic National Geographic masterpiece. The brutality of the Hyena clan matriarchy and the lion pride patriarchy focus as much on war as the hunt. This film essentially proved the military value of the lion. They may not be on point with the hunt, but the lioness squads are often unable to defend their kill from a clan of hyenas. The lions essentially practice conventional war and the hyenas act more as an insurgency.
It was not until the close of the Modern Age that Lawrence H. Keeley proved that war predates civilization. The fact that modern historians ever thought that war began with civilization was silly. Thanks to this documentary it is clear that war predates humanity.
The writing and narration are excellent.
The second video is also well done, but lacks He Who Greets with Fire.
The third documentary gives more insight into the problem of lion daycare, which brings the lion closer to our human model. There is a truncated gestation period and built in neglect, as with our criminal class of urban human predators.

Of Lions and Men
I own Eternal Enemies. An absolute classic.
Lions are there to repel other lions and to take out rival predators. There's too much chance of random injury in hunting to risk the Big Gun. I mean, what are lionesses supposed to do all day? They enjoy meat just like their mates. They don't have to do dishes or take the cubs to soccer practise. Is the lion supposed to feed all their lazy asses AND run off other lions AND kill vile hyena matriarchs?
Lions are corn kings sacrificed to exile when they get just a tad too slow or weak. They earn their short years of relative ease and sexual satisfaction.
