Recently people have asked me a number of ideological questions: what do I believe, what do I agree with, who would I ally with?
My answer is, I do not know, I do not care, because it is all nothing without men. Without balls and backbone to fight off the mob, we cannot even sit down or stand together and speak. In the end the only thing that matters is what wins a boxing match, the preservation of will. In a hostile world the preservation of will requires the imposition of will, the cardinal warrior truth that is all but forgotten by civilized society, and, which may be argued, is eventually forgotten or neglected by every civilization, just before it falls.
Two years ago I had a debate with a woman who was under the impression that masculinity is a vice, not a virtue, that the care and feeding of the mass of people is all that matters, not the striving of the few, not the vision of the one.
I countered to this devout atheist, that without the masculine element to counterbalance the feminine, humanity is doomed, that we will eventually be smashed by a comet and swept into oblivion; that the only hope for humanity is getting off of this planet and eventually out of the solar system, and that female nesting and social connectivity is not what will get us there but the male propensity for exploration and inquiry.
The lady—whose brilliance and good looks lent weight to her arguments in equal measure in my masculine eyes—then dropped a bomb that still echoes in my mind:
“Until we can learn how to take better care of this planet we should not be allowed to pollute space and other planets. Perhaps the social insects offer a better model that favors the feminine, perhaps men will become extinct?”
Of course I disagree with this stance, but do understand it as the end point of cultural emasculation. The feminine and the masculine should be in balance. When one or both genders are psychologically maimed, neutered and disfigured we experience social dysfunction and eventually settle on species suicide.
Having studied emasculation from prehistory to yesterday, I am of the firm opinion that the single greatest human quality required for Our Kind to get off of this rock is masculinity. And the fact that most of those reading this and virtually all of the rest of humanity, see no importance in Man colonizing space, is proof positive that we have fallen far.
Imagine where we would be if no human ever decided to cross the Sinai and get the Hell out of Africa?
We would have become a creature that never left the womb, the incubator.
Imagine an ever-expanding humanity trapped on this planet by its own sloth, greed and ignorance?
That’s baby that never leaves its cradle—a doomed creature.
But an argument this simple is contested at every step, even by science-fiction readers, who claim space travel is impossible, as if all of the laws of the universe and all of the potentialities of Man are known to them.
I realize this is kind of big picture for people facing civil war and social disintegration. But image things at that level: Whether you are on the Right, the Left, in the middle, religious, agnostic, fanatic, whatever, nothing you believe in will ever amount to anything without direct, masculine action, the central characteristic of the hero. The Lie of Libertarianism has been exposed in this way. All of the best, most rational ideas in the world mean nothing if you cannot defend, let alone apply, them because some savage has his foot on your neck.
In our current time, with the reassertion of the value of masculinity as a virtue among some few postmodern souls, the fact that masculinity has been developed in the context of tribal societies for thousands of generations and then lost in one to ten generations, to the wiles of The Goddess we call civilization may tempt some to concern themselves with the tribe first and the man second. The masculine tribal identity is a tempering balance that should be respected.
For, while the tribe is the stone that sharpens the man, the tribe is also the building block of its own demise—the nation: domestication, civilization, consumption, alienation, atomization, negation. Just as religion co-opts spirituality for political purposes and then kills it, politics co-opts tribalism, using it to kill the man, to eradicate the tribe’s building block, so it may be superseded. The man must be free enough from the tribe to save it from the emasculating political process. This has been the struggle of every people, a struggle most have lost. So as we resurrect our tribal sense, let us not forget what the tribe is made of—men.
Whatever it is you believe in, even if you are my beautiful, atheistic, feminist friend, it will never survive the machine your kind have built to kill Humanity in favor of farming apes, for the very drab goal of being able to farm more apes. And, even then, if your goal is no more than to maximize the number of billions of fat apes that may be housed and juiced on this planet, without men, once that heavenly body is determined to be on a collision course with Planet Meatball, without men your factory farm of a world will burn.
Whatever your ideology, even matriarchy, even feminism, unless your goal is the extermination of Humanity, your only hope is men.

I heartily agree with the balance between masculine and feminine, but being the curmudgeon I am, believe, hope, that a asteroid, world wide earthquake, or some other natural disaster wakes the human race up, we will forget about the petty problems and patch this earth back together, the survivors will anyway? James, Leftism IS about the extermination of Mankind. Ultimately Leftism is nihilist. Leftists hate the world around them. They want to see society changed, torn down, razed to the ground. The Left believes that society's institutions are all so irredeemably corrupt and evil that they imagine we would be better off without any of them, even if there is nothing constructive with which to replace them. They believe the earth itself would be a better place if there were NO human beings living on it (vhemt.org VHEMT: Voluntary Human Extinction Movement). No surprise then that Lefties are not enthused about the idea of colonizing other planets and try to persuade others that it cannot work. Feminism is Leftism, first and foremost. As such Feminism is even destroying itself. How many hard-core feminists do you yourself know that are childless? Most of them I will bet. What does that portend for the future of the movement? I think sometimes all that is required to reconstruct a stable wormhole is just two dimensions of the spacelike and the timelike. That is a marriage. That is the catch. There are homes out there that were, are, and are not.

At least that is the way is used to be. Space travel without time travel only happens when the options do not agree.
Of course, Valhalla keeps the pilots. I suspect the keepers of Time are watching the kids and wondering if this can be repaired to any scale that matters.
James, this is a very good essay. I have come to the conclusion that there is no point in debating with people like this woman because there are no psychological or spiritual common points on which to build a frame of reference. On a deep non-intellectual level, they simply cannot understand. A website called Anonymous Conservative is devoted to analyzing world events in the context of r/ vs. k/selection and amygdala development. This is probably the key to understanding why we talk at cross-purposes with these people.
Your point about space colonization is also excellent. As a kid, I grew up watching all the Mercury/Gemini launches, and now as an adult, I was heartbroken to watch the last Space Shuttle trucked to its final museum resting place...all so we could divert more resources into farming apes. A culture that dotes on fictional representations of space travel, but can't muster the determination to match the technological acheivements of the late '60's... Again, the r/selected rabbits think this is just fine.

Yes, Anonymous Conservative’s use of evolutionary reproductive strategies to describe the psychology behind much of the politics in the world today does serve to explain a lot, doesn’t it? It’s uncomfortably close to Scott Adams’ “moist robot” theory of human behavior. Hard to deny that such psychologies are major factors in driving individual behavior as well as in the formulation of public policy though.

Whether one believes in evolution or creationism one must recognize that there IS such a thing as “Human Nature”. That many behaviors, both productive and counter-productive, are hard-wired into people’s brains and therefore highly resistant to change. Or even introspective analysis. Now the wasteful, counter-productive policies of the Leftist r/strategist “rabbits” who are in control of events are quickly pushing our civilization toward times of “K” (i.e. severe shortage).
