‘The Goodthinkers’
A Heads up from Subversive Reader Benson Hedgefun
Hi James -
I note you have a sense of the details of history that the goodthinkers would rather were forgotten.
I have not read Michael Hudson's book "Killing the Host" yet, but his message continues to ring true:
Keep being you.
Benson Hedgefun
Thank you, Benson.
Reading Hudson was such a breath of fresh air, gulped as it was in this dusty tomb of modern-projecting despair. Trying to have discussions or read opinion pieces and theories with and by those who have not studied human conditions prior to 1776, has been in a point of endless frustration. Hudson deconstructs a book by a financial professor from Yale who manages to read Mesopotamia, Athens and Rome entirely, 180 degrees, wrong.
The book by the financial fiend and the article by Hudson focus on the nature and effect of “creditor elites” on history. Hudson offers an excellent and illuminating rebuttal to the stupidity of the banking wonk’s assertions, which seem entirely colored by the modern perspective. Both Sumer and Rome were felled, in part, by their own baking institutions. Hudson also reminds us that Rome got so big by initially serving as a regional debt enforcer, by preventing nationalistic leaders from erasing debts. It is a clear fact of ancient history that as creditor elites expanded so did slavery.
I would like to add to Hudson’s excellent expose of the cankerous sore that is our human propensity to worship material debt, three points:
1. Athens transformed itself into a banking powerhouse at the same time that it committed comprehensive genocides, annihilating and selling into slavery entire ethnic polities, most notably Aegina.
2. As a finance-based state [olive oil was one of the primary currencies] Athens became the quintessential home of the demos and the demagogue, the “mob’ and the “politician” who plays to their base nature.
3. That the great crash of 1778 B.C. not only occurred in the absence of Jewish bankers, but in the absence of Jews as we know them, when the proto-Israelites were patriarchal leaders of shepherd clans, physically occupied elsewhere as they obsessed over their chosen status. I realize the fact that the nine evil bastards who headed the investment banks that looted America in 2008 were Jews, has many a right winger assigning ethnic blame like some woman pointing a finger after a lost battle she didn’t fight in. But just because secularized members of that ancient tribe have refined the vile art of banking to a higher level than any previous purveyors of such evil, does not mean that they are the only, or the last, members of their kind. In fact, the first creditor elites were pre-Judaic, even though some disputatious member of The Tribe might argue that they were the first civilized people on earth.
Note
One example of poor historical perspective by an author who has done much superb recent history and contemporary work, largely via journal research, was Lothrop Stoddard’s The Revolt Against Civilization: The Menace of the Under-Man. I had intended reviewing this book, as Stoddard’s other three volumes I had read were so well researched. But in a discussion of ancient history, he proved appallingly ill-informed. In the first 9 pages I isolated 7 threads so poorly rooted in, or contradictory to, the historical facts, that I marked these 7 subjects for posthumous rebuttal in extensive essays. On reflection, I gave up on the project, not wanting to have a hand in discrediting a man who did such good work in fields he was qualified in.
My reason for going into an extended discussion in 3 and here is that so many young men who were utterly denied any factual history during the course of their government mind scrub, have, upon revolting against The Lie, picked up reading literature from and about that point in history when things really went wrong, that is the first third of the 20th century. To be able to put this mess into perspective, unfortunately requires years of reading from and on previous ages of human history. I will post an ancient history suggested reading list to assist with this.

I think the Chinese kingdoms crashed their economies at least three times before the birth of christ with inflation and such. I remember Albert Jay Nock mentioning that in an essay.

Stoddard covered so many things that he was bound to be lacking somewhere but his classic The Rising Tide of Color and The French Revolution in San Domingo should be read by all JL.com readers.

Great point 3 James. When is comes to corruption, all ethnicities would appear equal, 'Tribal' councils case in point... insofar as smooth (in a context of corruption), I once heard a Montana judge remark "Chicago politicians could take their lessons from the Blackfeet."

Per the larger foible of the present precarious state, a comparison to the character of Athenian Greeks points to little has changed in the course of Western Civilization, a consequence of remaining stuck in a sort of mental defect or self-centered laziness best described by Thucydides:

“Their judgment was based more upon blind wishing than upon any sound pre-vision; for it is a habit of mankind to entrust to careless hope what they long for, and to use sovereign reason to thrust aside what they do not fancy”

The Athenians, the more I read over their history, the more it seems analogous to a modern nation consisting of Manhattan, Hollywood, D.C. and the U.S. Navy, which can only stay afloat by plundering places like Portugal and Belize.

"Sovereign reason," what a rare commodity.

You guys are missing something. It's the psychopaths. Countries are ruined by psychopaths. Look at Athens. It was Alcibiades that pushed the great idea of attacking Syracuse. The failed Syracuse attack was THE downfall of Athens. The same Alcibiades went from city to city in the ancient world. In Sparta he was more Spartan than the Spartans. Changing his chameleon skin every time he moved somewhere else and betraying everyone he came in contact with. Alcibiades killed Athens with risky schemes to glorify himself.

Story of Alcibiades

penelope.uchicago.edu/Thayer/E/Roman/Texts/Plutarch/Lives/Alcibiades*.html

"...He had, as they say, one power which transcended all others, and proved an implement of his chase for men: that of assimilating and adapting himself to the pursuits and lives of others, thereby assuming more violent changes than the chameleon. That animal, however, as it is said, is utterly unable to assume one colour, namely, white; but Alcibiades could associate with good and bad alike, and found naught that he could not imitate and practice. 5 In Sparta, he was all for bodily training, simplicity of life, and severity of countenance; in Ionia, for p65 luxurious ease and pleasure; in Thrace, for drinking deep; in Thessaly, for riding hard; and when he was thrown with Tissaphernes the satrap, he outdid even Persian magnificence in his pomp and lavishness. It was not that he could so easily pass entirely from one manner of man to another, nor that he actually underwent in every case a change in his real character; but when he saw that his natural manners were likely to be annoying to his associates, he was quick to assume any counterfeit exterior which might in each case be suitable for them..."

One thing not widely known is King Agis of Sparta hated Alcibiades because Alcibiades had a child by the Kings wife.

Now couple that with the Jews are a tribe of psychopaths. They have breed themselves that way. There are psychopaths in all races but the number in the Jewish race4 is extremely high.

Even if it's wrong if you assume the Jews are a tribe of psychopaths you will never be surprised and Jew's behavior will make sense.
