I love Dick Gregory. He is the inspiration behind this year’s autumn tale, Skulker Jones, that has overcome me through an unfortunate street experience involving a big, drunk, beer-bellied Mexican and his small, wiry cohort, and the subsequent viewing of Dick’s various interviews.
The first eight presidents of the United States were black!
Dick reminds me very much of a man that once coached me, with his searing, endearing anger flashes, his impatience with slower minds and his obsession with race mixing and finding the black person in a picture or situation.
His Universal Law theories are the subject of fascination to a horror and science-fiction writer. So it looks like I will be finishing my existing fiction yarns after Halloween, for Dick’s spirit will not rest. Interestingly, his ideas about ISIS are identical to some White Nationalist views I have seen.
