Patricia Mosley, 69 and her son, Samuel Jones, 42, were discovered in in their home on the 2200 block of Poplar Grove in the Walbrook area of West Baltimore, when firefighters came to the house at 12:51 p.m., Monday, 10/24/16.
Based on a statement given by Patricia Mosley’s nephew, it seems possible that Jones was the target and his mother a collateral casualty. Mrs. Mosely was known to hold worship services in her home and is regarded as a pillar of the community. But no one seems to be cooperating with the police in their investigation, who had no immediate leads. Neighbors claim the neighborhood “has been quiet.”
Apparently Patricia was cooking lunch when she was executed, as the food kept cooking and smoke alarms went off, causing neighbors to call 911 for the Fire Department.
Unfortunately, no aspect of this story is shocking.
Just a thought:
During the riots and purge of 2015, such large quantities of heroin were shipped into West Baltimore that the Baltimore area retail prices dropped, junkies migrated to the city from two municipalities away and a joint local-federal task force made a record drug bust.
