This sad and unfortunate situation reminds me of a story once told by Abraham Lincoln: Once a farmer was walking down the road carrying a pitch fork. A dog rushed out from a nearby house and tried to bite the famer, so the farmer stuck the dog with the pitchfork. The dog’s owner seeing the result, was upset. “Why didn’t you use the other end?”, he protested. The farmer replied, "Why didn’t he come at me with his other end?
