Trivia: According to legend The Bruce prevailed against three opposing knights on no less than three occasions. He was most infamous for knifing a political rival in church and most famous for giving single combat against an English knight at Bannockburn and splitting his helm and skull with an axe. A replica of that axe was made for Museum Replicas around 2007.
The Bruce died of leprosy and asked his champion, Black Douglas to take his heart in a box to the Holy Land and place it in a sacred place. Unfortunately, on the way to crusade in the Middle East, Black Douglass leant a hand in the fight against the Moors in Spain and was killed.
