‘Throwing Lawn Darts Over a Fence’
Syria: the History and Future of Imminent War by Stefan Molyneux
© 2013 James LaFond
I get about five new videos and blogs per week from my Free Domain Radio subscription. Of these I typically view two to four. This past week the best one was Stefan’s 22-minute primer on the causality of war, for which the current Syrian crisis merely serves as a talking point. If you are a big Victory at Sea fan you might be upset about his Hiroshima opinion [I intend to check out his assertions].
Stefan makes some very good points in his classic style, pointing out that John Kerry has ‘broken bread with the devil’, that most people are ‘bullet proof to the snipers of reason’, that ‘truth is often counter intuitive’, and that ‘irrationality and absolutes equals death’.
Stefan is a totally non-violent thinker, who I find intriguing because he is not also a ‘pie-in-the-sky’ social engineering dreamer like Peter Joseph or Jacque Fresco. He is also an atheist who is not angry, which makes him a double dichotomy, at least.
