I commented here about the rich and powerful bunkering up :
In short, if/when they emerge from their bunkers after a few years following the collapse of society, they might find that the world has changed and the survivors will not be particularly amenable to being ordered around by their self styled superiors. They might just (gasp!) look on them like the Morlocks looked at the Eloi (H. G. Wells novel "The Time machine").
It should be an interesting time all round ... >};o)
