Once again the “Church” is failing in its responsibility to protect the innocent and is attempting to cover up and justify this malfeasance with a cloak of Christian forgiveness. This is happening because the Catholic Church has been infiltrated by Leftists and “converged” (repurposed to advancing Leftist social justice causes) like so many other of our society’s institutions. Incidentally many church elders predicted that the Communists would use the Catholic Church to infiltrate the mainstream of society, particularly in Latin America, back in the 1930’s and ‘40’s. Now this has come to pass in spades with a Leftist Pope from Latin America leading the Holy See. Yes, one of the perennial puzzles of human behavior is why do Liberals/Leftists/ Progressives have an excess of compassion for criminals, but at the same time so little real concern for the victims of crime? Unless of the course the Left can use such victims to make a political statement.
