Imagine
Democracy At Work

Imagine, waiting on the table at a restaurant seating the two wealthiest men in your country.
Imagine they were arguing over a joint venture and insisted that you and the kitchen help and your fellow wait staff take a vote and decide which one of them should make the Human Resources decisions for this business cycle?
Does that sound too good to be true?
It should and so should the notion of democracy.

“We did not have a revolution in order to have democracy.” - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, former Iranian President

We need to be careful that we don't equate "Representative" government for "all warm bodies voting" Democracy. I see a trend that says any voting for Representatives is Democracy and it's not. Representative Democracy uses qualified voters to pick their Representatives. I bet if we only had voters that could pass a high school test, maybe owned property or were married we could rapidly clean up a lot of problems in this country. Crime we have now would just not be stood for. The "Great North American Permaculture" project gulag would be really to take the 20% or how ever much percentage of the population needed to stop crime. Let them eat beans would be the cry about the land.

The neo-cons are now pushing Kings. Yeah right like Kings haven't been total fuck ups over and over. When I remind them that we had a perfectly good system that (((they))) ruined. Crickets. They don't want to talk about that. They want Kings they can bribe. Cost too much to feed all those children they keep around to rape for blackmail I guess.
