The story is about Brian Jones, an insurance adjuster who was inspecting a second story roof when he slid off and landed on his feet, sustaining pilon fractures in both legs. He was told he would never walk again, or only using a walker at best. He managed to get walking again and then took up deadlifting and squatting. His bones strengthened so much that the screws and hardware were bent and driven out of his legs, and eventually surgically removed.
