Wow! This prediction isn’t coming from your garden variety doom-crying crackpot, is it? Of course at this stage of societal devolution predicting an economic collapse lies sort of in the realm of predicting cold weather in Minnesota this coming January. It’s hard to see how the debt crisis, both public and private, facing our society is going to have a good ending. So an economic collapse is more a matter of when it happens rather than if.
No doubt Mister Rogers is probably correct though that our current bubble economy is overdue for a stock market crash. Given that our economy never really recovered from the last one in ’08, the next one is likely to be an exceptionally far-reaching and painful correction.
