I also posted the second training video, an introduction to the umbrella block. Is the umbrella block different from the roof block that you demonstrated with Sean? There are four more of these training videos to come, perhaps I will have them all posted by the end of next week.

Lynn, the umbrella block is the reverse of the roof block, both useful against descending and diagonal strokes, but one [roof block] a forehand defense against the forehand attack and the other [umbrella block] the backhand defense against the backhand stroke.
If the fighter is wielding weapon in the opposite hand, then it is a backhand defense against a forehand and a forehand defense against a backhand.
