They think that it would be “nice to know if there was any Ambien in her system.” Ambien is a sleeping medication that may impair some women’s thinking, so we can see the line they are taking:

Former Republican presidential candidate, Michele Bachmann said, according to this report,
“Noor was an 'affirmative-action hire by the hijab-wearing mayor of Minneapolis' — an apparent reference to the fact that Mayor Betsy Hodges has worn a head scarf when meeting with leaders of the city’s Somali-American community. Bachmann also suggested Noor may have shot Damond for 'cultural' reasons.”

Noor's Lawyer's premise (because I don't believe that Noor himself would be intelligent enough to take this tack) is even more ludicrous than might be apparent at first glance.
Note that someone who changed from a veterinarian career to alternative healing methods in the interest of a family member stricken by cancer is in no way interested in Big Pharma products to help her sleep. She will have at her disposal a number of herbal and other natural supplements to help her if need be, as well as alternative treatment modalities like acupuncture or massage. With her smile and positive approach to life as pictured from her FB page in news reports about her, I daresay a little deep breathing or meditation was all she would have needed to fall asleep. Her only mistake, which I have duly noted for myself, was her inclination to help whoever was having a bad time in the alley behind her house. Here in Harm City, I will make sure I never make the same mistake myself.
