The Worst Thing a Man Can Be?
Defining Postmodern Masculine Taboos Via Subjective Survey
© 2017 James LaFond
AUG/26/17
This week I began doing a simple survey that I hope to build significant numbers with. The goal is 500 responses to the following question:
"In your opinion, what is the worst thing a man could be, what is the single negative characteristic or personality trait that would cause you to despise a man?"
I have been looking for short answers, one or two words, which I have attempted to assemble as current taboos, considered in the light of Jack Donovan's four masculine virtues from The Way of Men:
Strength
Courage
Honor
Mastery
I have been forced to use twice as many categories and am doing what I can to keep it simple.
The initial, terminology shaping survey, will be published this week, along with guidelines for conducting your own, which is how I am hoping to build large numbers, which some more qualified brain will analyze.
In the meantime, if a single characteristic such as cruel, cowardly, untrustworthy, etc., comes to your mind upon considering this question, feel free to leave a comment here.

obviously, these days, a nazi...........lol. an effeminate coward......a bitch really. we have an exhubby in our life that really has his panties in a twist, calls the cops on us often, doesn't pay his support but is always screaming about his rights when he shows up uninvited and there was no custody agreement. he burnt the cops down so bad they threatened to arrest him. court is now making short shrift of the bastard now. he's one of those ex-airforce wingnuts, traumatized by too many war movies. his dishonorable discharge for craziness is not helping him in court. more succinctly, a bitch, a manpurse. a nutless wonder. any of those. he always wants to wear the panties in the family.

1. Cowardly, and its close relative, disloyal.
LaMano     Aug 26, 2017

Lazy.

Unwilling to provide for his family. Unwilling and unable to provide for himself.

Unable to work a skill or trade on his own account, and unable to show up for work on a regular basis to earn a paycheck.

Dependent on someone else to provide for him and the children he fathers.

If all of these guys would disappear down a black hole tonight, 90% of our societal problems would be over. Instead, we build huge systems to support these drones and assure we have more of them.

No sense of self-pride, which allows cowardice, weakness, lack of initiative, cruelty, effeminacy, dishonesty to be overlooked due to lack of shame. A person with no self-pride finds nothing but excuses for his failures and can thus do nothing to improve his condition, and likely doesn't care to.

I'm a fan of La Mano, but I'm going to put mendacity before cowardice in the hierarchy of evils. An honest coward is tractable.

Sorry, I am a fan of La Mano, but my comment refers to Shep.

Loathe cowards. The end.
