An Urban Safari Destination?
Mexican Tunnel Rats Infiltrate American City's Storm Drainage System

A late night Associated Press release from 1/15/2014, available through news.yahoo.com, by Brian Skoloff and Jacques Billeuud, provides the reader with in in-depth view of how Mexican drug gangs build and utilize cross-border tunnels. There is also a section on how they are being policed. The best part of the piece is the mention of how smugglers are tunneling into the Nogales Arizona storm drainage system.
For some time I have been toying with the idea of doing urban safaris for tourists, allowing them to pose for photos with gang bangers and ply their own cameras in an attempt to capture feral dogs and urban foxes on film. Erique and I have even spotted a likely retired short model school bus up for sale, that might serve as our urban rover. Baltimore, Detroit and Camden have been bandied about as possible urban tourism destinations. But, after reading about the Nogales Narco Tunnel Rat invasion I find myself wondering if we might be able to franchise this and hire some cave divers to run an Arizona chapter?
