I am currently writing a noir serial titled ‘Poet: The Enlightened Fate of Akbar Qama’ about an aging Black Muslim enforcer suffering a dual crisis; of faith, and of identity. Last night I placed myself on the fifty-yard line of a mixed race ghetto bar and ended up listening to three older black dudes discuss Black Muslim politics and political figures, as well as those Black Muslims they had known in their own life. The fellow that looked like Spike Lee took uncomfortable notice of me taking notes. This reminded me that I no longer needed to journey to the Lexington Market to get my bean pies; that I could now purchase them right up the street at a new Islamic pizza parlor?
Say what?
I know people—many people—who, thanks to the U.S. versus Islamist War, regard Muslims with distrust. This distrust is heightened by the spread of Islamic facilities and communities in the Greater Baltimore Area. This is seen as ‘a conspiracy’ to undermine America, just as Mexican immigration is seen as a conspiracy to undermine the indigenous American workforce.
I would like to paint a word picture of the Pan-Islamic Pizza Parlor and its genesis as a way of suggesting that perhaps, religiously cohesive people adapt more effectively to hostile economic environments such as Harm City, than do the wishy-washy wimp coven of ‘Mainstream America’.
This past summer, this Greek-owned and operated pizza parlor, which has stood for twenty years, was at the exact epicenter of many attacks on pedestrians. I documented almost a dozen cases of ‘drive-up gang muggings’, ‘run-downs’ and ‘smash-and-grabs’ in this quarter mile circle, with the pizza parlor at its center. Business was dwindling for this carryout joint. I do not know if any of their delivery drivers were attacked. I do know that many of their customers were attacked upon leaving the establishment.
At the beginning of this winter the carryout spot was closed, and then reopened with a new name and under new management.
The previous operation was staffed as such: A white girl taking orders at the counter, a Greek manager overseeing the business, a crew of Mexicans in the kitchen, and a catchall of delivery drivers.
The menu was Italian-Greek-American.
The current operation—which is doing 50-70% more volume, has taken out the Greek dishes and replaced them with soul food, and also deserts made by a Black Muslim bakery.
The staff is completely changed, and more numerous. Two young men, who I suspect are either Pakistani or Middle Eastern, man the counter and manage the business. They are assisted by a Sikh [who is not, of course, Muslim], which leads me to believe they are Pakistani. The Mexicans in the kitchen have been replaced by Albanians [the bad guys in the movie Taken], who are generally Muslim. The drivers [the high risk Special Operations troops in the Pizza business] are uniformly gigantic coal black Nigerians, who are more numerous and more busy than the hodgepodge of men they replaced.
I don’t see this crew getting robbed.
When is the last time you saw a bunch of Catholics and Protestants of various ethnic groups, band together to do business in a sketchy locale?
Do you think any secular business would ever risk the legal hassles and potential government interference with their human resources methods implicit in assigning jobs according to ethnicity? No to mention, these guys do not employ women in what is essentially a hazardous environment. Are they ‘keeping women down’ or just protecting them?
Could you imagine a fast food chain getting away with this without incurring the wrath of the politically correct media and federal lawyers?
The white suburban conservatives and libertarians who write for National Review, Alternative Right sites, and Takimag, might want to consider the fact that the people who are actually conducting themselves counter to the liberal doctrines of our Media-republic, are generally not of European descent, not secular, and largely non-Christian. Those pundits might want to stop shaping their political debate as ‘White-conservative-Christians versus the world’ to ‘everyone with common sense versus the American media-government-academic circle jerk’.
Just a crackpot idea from an unrepentant barbarian anarchist.
I totally agree on National Review(.i.e the Good Losers) but the other sites are a lot more diverse than White Christians versus the World..softie bourgeois Cons get no sympathy from me..like the fool boss in your store clerk story.
Thanks to you I am now a Bean Pie fan! Its like Pumpkin pie available all year round!!!
Salamm Alakim!!!;)
It seems to me that the alternative right' is about as diverse as the establishment left. Each political block is just a collection of the 'enemy of my enemy is my friend' interest groups.
The unifying theme on the left seems to be an evolved form of forced integration in all walks of life [not just race by a long shot], for the 'greater good'.
The unifying theme on the right seems to be that voluntary segregation is preferable.
Once the left believed in voluntary integration. After coming to power that became forced integration. Since being in power the left has evolved to an advocacy block for behavioral control, such as drugging our school-age boys into oblivion to insure that they are as manageable as girls.
The right pleads freedom, voluntarism, and all of the virtues of the griping powerless. But, just like the left, if they come back into power, everything will be forced, society will end up ruled by an abusive 'Daddy State' just like it is ruled by an abusive 'Nanny State' now.
I read alternative right literature in the 1980s and was really enamored of the scope of ideas and the stress on individual action. Now, reading Takimag for instance, which seems to have the largest readership of the Libertarian oriented sites, over 75% of the articles are essentially complaining about the left. These guys sound like the feminists and poverty pimps did back in the 70s-the same shrill voice of impotent will-to-power.
Check out my next Man Cave pieceanother observation that is against all of the new right punditry I have read over the past year.
Don't forget to pickup a Pan-Islamic pizza pie near you.
