Actually built the tire man in my back yard using his video. The only thing that I would change is in cutting the tire. Ended up using a really sharp Ka-bar to separate the side wall and the tread. Instead of using a hacksaw to cut across the tread...an angle grinder is quicker and has the added bonus of making sparks and emitting all sorts of toxic smoke from the burning rubber. You might even get high from the fumes.
