Boris Karloff and a Robert E. Howard horror story that made it to television in 1961!
-Mescaline Franklin
I enjoyed viewing this old horror short. If filmed in the 80s & 90s, the hero, Kirby Buchner, would have been replaced by a less heroic character. Post 2000, the hero would have been removed altogether or replaced by a woman. Howard was able to write the horrific convincingly in the face of a heroic protagonist. Writers of today are less confident in their subject.
A Well of Heroes
Brandon DeWilde- I remember him from a lot of shows. Died at 30 in a car accident, it says.
Great story, of course. R.E.H.
