Anybody seen Christopher Enrique Gordon?

Toronto Police are asking and, if the answer is yes, urging you to call them right away.

“He is considered armed and dangerous,” legendary Homicide Det.-Sgt. Gary Giroux said in a news release.

The 18-year-old has been on the run from police since Nov. 14, 2017, after the stabbing death of David Blacquiere, 54, near Weston Rd. and Lawrence Ave. W.

But police spokesperson Meaghan Gray said investigators have a new lead.

We now “believe he may be in the city of Barrie,” Gray said, adding investigators have asked cops in that jurisdiction for assistance.

Const. Jenniferjit Sidhu warned anyone who spots the suspect not to approach him.

“Call 911 immediately,” she advised.

The 6-foot-4, 150 pound man with a slender build and black hair in braids is wanted for second-degree murder.

Police also issued a warning to those who may be helping Gordon avoid capture.

“Anyone in the community who is found harbouring, assisting (or) providing comfort to this man will face criminal consequences,” Sidhu said.

Three women. Three mothers. Three murders.

Elaine Bellevue, 61, of Mississauga stabbed to death. Baljit Thandi, 32, of Brampton, saw the same fate. Her mother, Avtar Kaur, 60, too.

You read it right. There is no point in sugar coating it. This was pure ugly.

All three are alleged to have been murdered in two separate domestic attacks that has sent shock waves through the normally quiet and safe suburban gem called Peel Region.

The first incident happened on Starhill Cr., near Dixie Rd. and Sandalwood Pkwy. E., in Brampton, where a mother and daughter found slain around 10:45 p.m. Friday.

Outside the two-storey home of that incident, two Peel Regional Police cruisers sat outside the taped off residence while the front porch’s front screen door flapped back in forth in the wind. Inside, a pair of shoes sat on the a rug and to the left is a folded up baby buggy.

A neighbour directly across the street didn’t know the young couple who moved in just over a year ago.

“It is very sad what has happened here,” said the man who would only identify himself as Richard. “It’s like most neighbours you don’t really know who they are nowadays.”

“I did see an older man man who would walk a little child,” added Richard, who estimated the couple were probably in their early 30s.

The second incident took place at around 1 a.m. Saturday on Marmac Cr., near Winston Churchill Blvd. and west of The Collegeway, in Mississauga.

“This was a very difficult night in the Region of Peel,” Const. Rachel Gibbs said Saturday. “Very disturbing and very upsetting.”

As if what happened was already not enough, the violence did not stop there. A teenage daughter of Elaine Bellevue was assaulted in the same incident and taken to hospital with serious wounds. Her sister was also taken to hospital suffering from emotional damage, including the reality that her mom is dead, her sister is fighting for her life and her father has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.

“You feel nothing bad happens around you out here but that’s not true,” area resident Kathy Duffy said. “I think it is a dangerous time for woman right now in general.”

But to lose three women in one night — and children rushed to hospital — is not something that should be glossed over.

“It’s pathetic, frightening and a sad statement on humanity at the moment,” said Duffy. “It’s very depressing.”

That was certainly the collective sentiment in both neighbourhoods where residents all had the same reaction.

“What about the children?” asked next-door neighbour Millen Aurora. “What is going to happen to them?”

Across the street, a long-time friend of the family named Stan pleaded, “Please let us know how those children are doing because we are very worried about that.”

In both of these horrific cases, the children’s female caregivers are dead. In both cases their fathers are in custody charged with their murderers.

It’s a catastrophe.

In Mississauga, neighbours talked of two teenage daughters who were adopted by the Bellevues, who now have nobody.

So many lives destroyed. It’s just beyond words.

“This is a tragic incident and my thoughts are with the victims and the family, as well as the local community,” said Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie. “Nobody should experience this type of violence. I do not want to speculate as I know Peel Police are investigating and will have more details in the days to come.”

In the case of Baljit Thandi and Avtar Kaur, Peel Police say charged with second-degree murder is husband and son-in-law Dalwinder Singh, 29. In the case of Elaine Bellevue, citing the fact the province’s Special Investigations Unit has taken over the case since the suspect was taken to hospital with serious injuries suffered during his arrest, Peel Regional Police did not release either her name or that of the accused, who is also her husband.

But sources say Bob Bellevue, 61, has indeed been charged in this case and neighbours identify him as someone who has worked as a financial planning vice president for a major bank.

The charges against both men have not been tested in court or proven.

But what is for sure is the three woman, all described by neighbours as incredible bright lights and wonderful people, are dead and gone — taken from their families on a cold, dark evening and early morning in Jan. 2018.
